12th Annual Photo Contest Winners The 12th Annual Weeks Bay Photography Contest was recently conducted by the Weeks Bay Foundation at the Weeks Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve’s Arthur C. (Skipper) Tonsmeire Weeks Bay Resource Center. There were over 80 entries in this year’s contest. The sponsors for this year’s event were the Weeks Bay Foundation, the Weeks Bay Reserve, and the Eastern Shore Art Center. According to the Weeks Bay Foundation’s executive director, Walter Ernest, “One of the greatest attributes of this contest is the involvement of family members entering the contest. This contest allows a family an opportunity to enjoy Alabama’s great natural resources while taking photographs. This contest does a great job of raising public awareness of the great natural resources that Coastal Alabama has to offer, and showcasing local talent.” The winning photos will be displayed during the month of July at the Eastern Shore Art Center.
